30 Day Challenge – Day 12

I think Friday is the hardest day to get organised for.  I know I have the weekend to prepare artwork and get it to a stage I have a chance of finishing things to post on here for a few days.  By Thursday I am no longer organised. …note to self: think ahead more and plan better!!

This is a piece I have had in my head for some time.  I like texture in my artwork and I liked the idea of recycling (upcycling?) my old watches into a picture.  To me time swirls and moves in a way we cannot control.  It takes it’s own path and leads you on a journey which is exciting and fun as well as challenging and difficult sometimes.  The journey has highlights and lowlights and is filled with memories which drift in and out at various times of your life.

I chose red because it is my colour….my hair, my passion for art (and life) and the energy with which I attack life.

I will be honest…..I am not convinced this piece is finished but I am sharing it with you and, if I do any more to it, I will share that too.

I have simply called this ‘Tempus’

My challenge to myself for the weekend is to get some better photographs of the work I have done and try to upload them to my website….I will keep you posted.

I am off to see the venue for the Arts Festival tonight so quite excited.  I have to work out how to display everything so have to put on my technical head for that.  That head does not always work too well but I will work something out.

I will post some more links to friends soon too….there are lots I want to share with you.

Don’t be sorry, I am really happy that you take the time to look at my work. I am still thinking about this one, need to give it a couple of days I think.

I’m not sure about it not being finished, the more I look on it the more it grows on me and I would be worried that any additions would take away the life/time aspect
